Do I need a written prescription to get a medication?

TrueCare pharmacies fill both written and call-in prescriptions. If the prescription is from a TrueCare Health Center, our friendly staff will be happy to call it in so there’s no waiting when you arrive for pickup.

Does your pharmacy offer payment plans for those without health insurance?

Yes. Our goal is to be the best pharmacy in North County. That means helping families get the medications they need regardless of their financial or insurance status.

Do you accept flexible spending account (FSA) debit cards?

Yes. FSA debit cards are a great way to pay for prescription drugs. They help lower out of pocket expenses, and don’t require filling out a form for reimbursement from your insurance company.

What are the locations and hours for TrueCare pharmacies?

Do we get a discount at TrueCare Pharmacies?

Yes. TrueCare is able to purchase meds at a reduced rate due to a government program and we pass the savings on to you.

Can I get any prescription medication at TrueCare pharmacy?

No, we have a formulary to follow but we do our best to find something that will work for you.

I do not speak English; can they help me?

TrueCare employs mostly bilingual staff, and we also have several translation options. We ensure you have all the correct information you need when you visit the pharmacies.

If I filled my prescription elsewhere and want to transfer to TrueCare pharmacy to save money and get better service what are the steps?

If you have refills remaining at the other pharmacy, TrueCare pharmacy staff will take care of the transfer. If you are out of refills just let the provider know to send the new prescription to TrueCare.

What other pharmacy related services do you provide?

TrueCare has a Clinical pharmacy department. We have Pharmacists available five days per week to answer your medication questions. These pharmacists also work closely with your provider and can do in-depth education called Medication Therapy Management (MTM), one on one with you.

If you feel you would benefit from MTM just let the provider know you would like to be referred. This is very beneficial for Diabetes and Hypertensive patients.
